Earlier this year, I took a leap and launched The Homegrown Market—an old fashioned Flower Market a charming gathering that brings together local cut flower growers. This delightful flower market first opened its doors in May 2025, nestled inside a rustic rural barn in Sussex.

As a florist myself I yearn to create whimsical & designs with a feel of nostalgia but found it difficult to visit different growers so wanted to bring them together to create a flower market. I rely heavily on the Dutch to fulfil my flower orders for each of my events but with each delivery I yearned for a more whimsical look.

So in January I decided to create my own flower market so I selfishly I have access to the local growers but all under one roof. We found a barn in Sussex near to where we live and contacted a number of growers because without them we have no market! Luckily, they loved the idea. The market carries a nostalgic air with local cut flowers growers arriving each month with their buckets brimming with freshly cut flowers lovingly nurtured in nearby fields and allotments.

We are a FLOWER MARKET & main focus is flowers but each month we have a selection of supporting acts; Flower Sundries, Cutting Garden Plants & Market Cafe Open for Tea & Cake.
